Seasonal Change in a Second | Are you suffering from dry eyes?
Summary

Nowadays, we are in the fall seasonal period, the temperature changes greatly, in addition to pay attention to keep warm, avoid triggering cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, myocardial infarction, as well as allergies, asthma, rhinitis, itchy eyes, but also pay attention to dry eyes and other problems.
Nowadays, many people's dry eye is closely related to the season, in the summer the incidence of dry eye is low, but as soon as the fall seasonal period, the climate is drier, and at the same time, the body is very sensitive to temperature changes, and our organs are the same, so the incidence of dry eye is very high.
Dry eye is an umbrella term, also known as dry eye, that encompasses a number of signs and symptoms associated with impaired ocular lubrication.
It is a series of diseases in which the quality of tears secreted by the ocular surface decreases or the amount of tears secreted decreases, resulting in an imbalance of tear film homeostasis and causing damage and discomfort to the ocular surface.
According to statistics, nearly 20-30% of the population in China will suffer from dry eye, which means that 20-30 out of every 100 people will suffer from dry eye.
The most common symptoms are eye pain from dryness and foreign body sensation, usually accompanied by light sensitivity, foreign body (debris) sensation, dry eyes and eye irritation.
Other symptoms include burning, itching, photophobia, congestion, pain, blurred vision with easy fatigue, and sticky filamentous discharge.
It is important to note that the rumor that dry eye means “lack of water in the eyes” is just that: a rumor.
Because some people's tear film balance is disrupted, natural tears cannot moisturize the cornea, so it is important to note that frequent tearing is also a symptom of dry eye.
What should I do if I have dry eye?
1. Eliminate triggers: Avoid prolonged use of computers, air conditioning and smoke and other dry eye triggers.
2. replenish tears: alternative treatment of tear components, the application of autologous serum or artificial tears, to extend the residence time of tears on the surface of the eye.
3. Blink more often: because the tear layer can make the tears spread evenly on the surface of cornea and conjunctiva, which can keep the eyes moist and not dry.
4. Pay attention to eye hygiene: usually pay more attention to eye hygiene, often wash your hands, if you feel uncomfortable with your eyes, do not rub with your hands.
5. Hot compresses on the eyes: apply hot compresses 1-2 times a day for 15-20 minutes each time, which can melt the solid oils blocked in the glands, unclog the blepharoplasty glands, promote microcirculation around the eyes and relax the eye muscles.
